International Business Round “Central America 2016”

The Province of Cordoba will receive representatives from international organisms and foreign companies from Central America to participate in an international business round and different workshops on Procurement

The ProCordoba Agency, together with the Federal Investment Council (CFI), the Foreign Trade Chamber of Cordoba (CaCEC) and the International Trade Offices of the Provinces of Santa Fe and Entre Rios, is organizing the International Business Round “Central America 2016” which will count with the participation of companies from Panama, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador.

Within the framework of the event, the office of Cooperation and International Relations will be hosting workshops on Public Procurement from Central American organisms.

The first Workshop, “Central American Bank of Economic Integration”, will be addressed by Lourdes Fú Flores, Coordinator of Procurement of Strategic Programs and Procurement of the CABEI. The focus of the workshop will be multisectoral, with special emphasis on the sectors of energy, construction, health and education.

The second Workshop, “Public Procurement: Ministry of Health of El Salvador”, will be delivered by Mrs. Rhina Luz Argueta, Coordinator of the Management Office of the Procurement and Contracting Unit of the Ministry of Health of El Salvador.
This workshop will focus on the Health sector and related fields: pharmaceuticals, medical supplies and equipments, ICTs, among others.

In both instances, speakers will develop the units of procurement of each organism and how the processes of public procurement are carried out.
